C Suite Engagement
About the event
The purpose of this round table discussion is to shed light on an encouraging trend that has been observed in recent years.
1. Women are now being appointed as CFOs in much larger numbers. As a significant number of current CEOs are Chartered Accountants, does this bode well for an increase in female CEOs, an area that is currently lacking in progress?
Along the same theme
2. Previously, women were primarily appointed as members and Chairs of the Social and Ethics Committees. However, according to research Business Engage has been conducting over the last 5 years on companies listed on the JSE, there has been a notable increase in the appointment of women to the Audit and/or Risk Committees. We find this trend to be extremely promising, as it raises an important question: Does this wave of progress in committee leadership roles pave the way for women to assume the role of Chair of the Board, either through experience or succession planning?
The objective of our discussion is to explore the above questions and
exchange insights and perspectives on the matter.
We believe that your contribution will enrich the overall discussion and look
forward to you being there.
