Jenny Hansewraj: An Accomplished Financial Executive

Jenny Hansewraj is an accomplished financial executive with three decades of experience in the financial services sector, spanning both banking and insurance. Currently, she serves in a senior leadership role at SA Home Loans, where she leads the finance division for two regulated insurance entities. Her portfolio includes strategic financial planning, regulatory compliance, end-to-end financial management, and executive and board-level reporting.

A qualified accountant (BAccSci, UNISA), Jenny brings deep expertise in financial reporting, taxation, reinsurance, and governance. She has steered her organizations through complex regulatory landscapes while embedding financial strategies that drive long-term sustainability.

Beyond her technical leadership, Jenny is widely respected for her value-driven and inclusive leadership style. She is deeply committed to transformation and gender equity, mentoring emerging female leaders and advocating for greater representation of women in finance and governance. Her leadership empowers others and creates safe, high-performance environments where diverse talents can thrive.

Jenny’s commitment to transformation extends into her community work. She serves on multiple internal committees and is a board member of the SAHL Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on advancing education and entrepreneurship in South Africa. Her influence extends beyond the boardroom as a passionate enabler of socio-economic upliftment and gender empowerment.

Recognized with multiple CEO Top Achiever Awards, Jenny is also an alumna of the prestigious International Executive Development Programme (Henley Business School). She continues to drive operational excellence, ethical leadership, and a culture of accountability, transformation, and inclusion.

Jenny Hansewraj stands as a role model not only for her professional achievements but for the way she uplifts others, challenges systemic barriers, and actively builds a more inclusive and equitable future for the next generation of leaders.
