Risper is a seasoned business leader with 23 years’ experience in financial services, manufacturing and audit and consultancy. She is the Group Chief Finance Officer and Executive Director for East African Breweries Plc ( a subsidiary of the global drinks giant, Diageo Prior to this role, she spent 11 years with Barclays Africa Group (now Absa) starting as the Regional Director for Internal Audit (East and West Africa) before being promoted to Managing Director for Internal Audit (Barclays Africa) based in Johannesburg In 2015 she joined Barclays Bank Zambia as Finance and Strategy Director, a role she held up to January 2020 when she joined Diageo.

She started her career with KPMG Kenya where she worked for nine years and was involved in external audit, internal audit and consultancy. Her work experience has seen her cover a number of countries extensively Risper is an Independent Non Executive Director of I&M Group Plc and Apollo Group, both in the financial services sector. She also chairs the Finance Committee of Women in Manufacturing (within KAM). She holds a Bcomm ( from the University of Nairobi and is a member of ICPAK She is also a Certified Internal Auditor Risper is married to Peter Ohaga and they have three daughters aged 23, 20 and 14. When she is not working, Risper enjoys traveling, she is an avid reader, and enjoys giving her time to others through mentorship and volunteering.
