Nkhonde is a dynamic and versatile Zambian lawyer & business strategist with over two decades of extensive cross-sector experience spanning legal practice, business consulting, media, property, and climate-related expertise. She is an Advocate of the Courts of Zambia, in active legal practicing, providing legal advisory services for startups and corporations in business registration, investment structuring, regulatory compliance, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions. Her practice also extends to media law, real estate and conveyancing, and criminal law.
She is a legislative drafter and serves as a member of the Law Association of Zambia’s Climate Change Task Force and sits on various boards that promote sustainability, gender equity, and innovation. Her strong commitment to climate justice, legal empowerment, and inclusive development positions her as a key voice in policy influence and legal reform.
Her leadership and impact have earned her recognition as the 2024 Africa and Middle East Gender Mainstreaming Inclusive Leader Award recipient and People’s Choice Award winner for Zambia, highlighting her contribution to gender-responsive innovation and sustainable enterprise.
Nkhonde has co-founded several transformative ventures, including: Money Media Africa, where she serves as CEO; Fairworld Properties, a property valuation and advisory firm; Innovo Consult, supporting SMEs with business strategy and growth; Money FM Business Radio, Zambia’s first business-focused radio station; and Women Leaders for Climate Action.
Through podcasts like Women@Money show, committed to helping women start, stay, succeed, and lead in business, workspaces, and life, and other platforms, she champions the belief that gender equality requires practical and sustained action, empowering women to participate fully in economic and policy spaces, contributing meaningfully to the Sustainable Development Goals.
Previously, she has worked across Zambia’s judicial system, including the Supreme Court, Constitutional Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, and subordinate courts, and with key regional and international institutions such as the COMESA Court of Justice (in Lusaka and Khartoum), various arbitral tribunals, and the Lands and Tax Appeals Tribunals. Her engagements with NGOs, media houses, and public image platforms further illustrate her rare blend of legal acumen, communication skill, and policy insight.
