Avanthi Parboosing is the Chief People Officer of the Life Healthcare Group and is responsible for the overall Human Resources & Remuneration function within the Group, as well as ESG, Stakeholder Engagement, Communication and Reputation Management and Diversity & Inclusion. Prior to her current role, she previously served as Group Company Secretary for various JSE-listed companies including Life Healthcare, Anglo American Kumba Iron Ore and Impala Platinum. Given her extensive operational experience, and her tenure as a seasoned executive, over the past 15 years across a range of industries and entities, Avanthi regularly presents at various round table events and conferences, specifically on issues of governance. Avanthi leads and champions the “Women in Life” initiative at Life Healthcare and is passionate about the development and mentoring of women in the workplace. Avanthi holds a Masters degree in Political Science and International Relations.
