Goodness Lungi Mlaba-Dludla is a Board Member for Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency. Lungi boasts more than 20 years of experience in the Travel and Tourism Industry. Lungi has is a member of IoDSA. Lungi holds a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Tourism Management from the University of South Africa and a National Diploma in Travel and Tourism also from the University of South Africa. She has served in several Committees namely; Finance Committee, Tourism Marketing Committee, Social and Ethics Committee.
She is a dedicated person with excellent communication skills in English, and other African languages, a Proactive, hardworking, trustworthy and dedicated individual and a great Leader who believes in Excellence. She is always eager to work hard, meet expectations and deadlines, help advance the institution’s bottom line, get along with colleagues, and promote harmony wherever she works. She is a friendly person with experience, job skill and commitment to doing the best. She possess human emotion, high work ethic, team spirit, moral values, good communication skills and leadership ability, She succeed in performing the duties as expected in any role she has undertaken. She is a wife and a mother and loves outdoors and enjoys visiting new places that the world has to offer and believes she is self appointed Tourism Ambassador.
She started her career as a Junior Consultant for Sure Travel and American Express AngloGold Ashanti Inhouse then moved on to being an Intermediate Consultant at Rennies Travel dealing both with Corporate and Leisure Accounts. She later on joined Emirates Airlines as a Passenger Sales and Services Agent and a year later was promoted to a Senior Passenger Sales and Services Agent where she dealt with International Reservations, Visa Applications for Dubai, Transfer Services for high end Passengers in Dubai and all over the world. She progressed and relocated to go work in London for a US timeshare company called Interval International as Reservations Consultant and Training Assistant. Coming back after two years abroad, she worked for IATA (International Air Transport Association) as Customer Services Consultant. From there she joined Orion Hotels as a Sales Executive while Lecturing Tourism at College Campus. Later on joined Tourvest Travel Services as a Government VIP Senior Consultant. Always looking for growth and eager to learn in all spheres of Tourism, she joined Greyville Convention Centre as a Senior Sales Executive dealing with events of big magnitude like the Durban July. Having been bitten by that international bug she later on joined a Dubai based Company called TBOHolidays where she was a Key Accounts Manager dealing with their booking system/engine used by Travel Agents and proceeded to work for a Company called Mistyblue Hotel Group also as Key Accounts Manager looking after their Accommodation Portfolio. After acquiring all this experience she went and became a Board Member for Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency and serves in three Committees and that’s where she is at this stage coming with this vast knowledge and experience within the Travel and Tourism Industry.
