Industrial Engineering Manager, Conlog SA
I am an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager, with 13 years combined years in automotive, manufacturing / production, textile, hospitality and construction industries. I enjoy developing project teams, facilitating training and strategy in line with the organisational goals. I have worked for companies as AIDC, Toyota SA, Iprosat, Beier Group and volunteered my time to many other community programs.
I also hold the following qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (2KO International)
- Btech Industrial Engineering (Durban University of Technology)
- Specialist Project Management (DUT – Business Studies Unit)
- Specialist IPC 610-A standards
With special interests in operational efficiency and continuous improvement principles I have learned to lead teams, coach subordinates and optimize project implementation methodologies. I work with executives to translate strategy into actionable solutions covering shopfloor workers all the way to leaders.
My main focus is on people development, empowering individuals at the workplace and in the communities.
I recently launched “Thoughts of Hope”, which is an initiative to support women in business or externally in the communities focusing on discussions that address the impact of following norms and how norms have caused confusion in the lives of many women. The program also aims at creating an environment that is conducive for growth and culture of ethical development. To achieve that, I consistently engage with women and girls in order to identify the gap as the socio-economic matters evolve. I am looking for new challenges where I will be able to maximise my capabilities and explore more opportunities in challenging the narrative of the status quo around matters that have an impact in our economic growth and the well-being of the citizens especially women and children.
I am a currently enrolled as a candidate Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Practitioner and Master of International Management specializing with Big Data. My aim is to use my academical abilities, professional and personal experiences to develop solutions which are critical to answering the needs of ordinary people and that of the economic growth sustainability. In simple terms, I want to work on simplifying the process and leaving a clear trace for the next user.
Economic growth is dependent on human capital, and if we do not drive gender-based development initiatives, we will have no capital to drive change.
My motto: Great leaders do not conform to the norms, they provide solutions.
