Jeanette holds, among other qualifications, a B.Com degree in Finance and Economics from University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), a Diploma in Investment Management from University of Johannesburg and an International Executive Development Programme (IEDP) from the Gordon Institute of Business Studies (GIBS) done in conjunction with Bankseta and the New York University (NYU).
Jeanette has a combined 24 years of experience in the financial services industry, having started her finance career in the private sector at Nedbank and Cadiz Investment Bank and then moved to into the public sector.
Jeanette was the Head of Risk at the South African Reserve Bank (SARB), an organisation she has been with since 2001 and held various positions a Dealer in money market securities, foreign exchange and gold; a risk analyst and risk manager. She also worked at the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) as a Market Risk specialist. Her experience in Risk Management covers market, credit; operational risks; governance as well as compliance.
She has also presented at various workshops on topics ranging from Risk Management to Performance Measurement both locally and abroad.
She joined SA Home Loans as its Director: Credit in November 2017. Jeanette is responsible, among others, for setting and implementing credit strategies and policies.
Jeanette is an avid reader and spends most of her spare time with a book in hand. She is a member of a book club called Bookwormers which also strives to contribute socially by adopting various causes to support.
