Frances Phillips is a Principal at Kearney’s South Africa office, bringing over 15 years of combined industry and consulting experience. As a qualified metallurgical and welding engineer, Frances began her career in operations management with a global steel producer, navigating the challenges of a young female in an industrial environment.

After completing her MBA, Frances transitioned into consulting. As an advisor, she has led large-scale strategic and business transformation programs for leading companies in the energy, oil & gas, metals, and manufacturing sectors across Africa and the Middle East.

Within Kearney, Frances leads the global Women With Energy network aimed at supporting and advancing women in the historically underrepresented energy & industrial sector. She strives to leverage her own professional journey to help aspiring female talent and foster diversity and inclusion in sectors where progress has been slow.
