Board executive director and chief risk officer for EOH Group Holdings

Fatima Newman is currently the Chief Risk Officer and serves as an executive director on the Board for EOH Group Holdings Limited – one of Africa’s largest ICT groups. Fatima is a key member of the senior leadership team tasked with growing and creating a sustainable business. Her functional role is focused on overseeing the organisation’s ongoing operations and procedures with a specific focus on developing and managing cutting edge and innovative Risk, Compliance, Legal, Procurement, Human Capital and Internal Audit solutions.

Fatima is a strategic and forward thinker with diverse experience across a range of industries including technology and tele-communications, stockbroking, asset management and private banking, financial services and investment banking. During her illustrious career, Fatima has dealt with a large range of strategic business issues, including growth and entry into new markets, joint ventures, turnaround strategies and strategic and due diligence work. She is not afraid of embracing challenges or working with complexity and change – the one constant she believes is our new normal.

Prior to EOH, Fatima served in various executive positions at MTN Group, Absa Group and Macquarie First South.
