Dr Hayley Haupt, EY Africa Workforce Consulting Leader

Hayley is a Partner in EY People Consulting Services, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. At the start of 2020 she was appointed as the Workforce Consulting Leader for Africa. Recognising the unique value that placing humans at the centre of any organisation brings, this underpins, and is core, to her work in this role. She is passionate about her clients and deeply committed to working with them to achieve greats things.
A former Partner in the EY Strategy business, Hayley played an instrumental part in growing the Strategy and Customer team. Hayley has has led transformative work at significant clients across the EMEIA region within a number of sectors including financial services, telecommunications, minerals and energy, logistics and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG). Hayley has also played a role developing and implementing the EY wavespace™ – a unique, interactive facilitation and co-creating space in Johannesburg.
Hayley joined EY as a junior consultant. In 2015 she embarked on an independent consulting career, working with a diverse range of clients both locally and internationally before returning as a Partner in 2018.
Hayley is committed to improving lives, especially marginalised and under-represented groups. She leverages her skills and position to achieve this with a strong focus on collaboration and teaming. Outside of her client work, she has generously given her time to support critically important initiatives such as the South African governments’ COVID-19 response and youth employment initiatives.
Hayley holds a BSc in chemistry and biochemistry and a PhD in chemistry from the University of Cape Town.
